Final Animation

This is my final animation. It is better than i ever hoped. Every detail has come out perfectly.
The only problem is the .mov file does not work very well for some strange reason!!!!

Youtube one as well if its any better.

Creating The Animation Itself

In my animation i have a hand that's fingers move independently. This was very tricky as sometime the bone tool in Flash may disfigure the object that you are trying to animate. So i went with a simple design for the fingers, staying minimalist as possible.

In the end with a lot of tweaking it worked!!

Design Process

I had to show the coin, in my animation, moving, but also rolling at the same time. The difficulty in further frames is when the line is not straight that the coin is following as the coin has to be places on the line differently in every frame.

Coin Animation

This is also a really good animation. Stop motion could be the best way of doing an animation with coins as this one has.

This animation is fantastic. I really like the idea behind it with the coin going through a machine of some sort. Showing its journey. I would like to some how work on this idea for my final project.

Final Storyboard

This is the final design for my storyboard. I am very pleased with the final out come. I feel that my animation will look very professional when it is done.

Sketchbook Work

I had to get an initial idea so I worked through some spider diagrams and chose a few words that i could develop on.
The Three words that chose in the end were:
  • Metallic
  • Bouncy
  • Dark

Some of the sounds from the music sounded like dripping water so I somehow wanted to import this into my ideas and maybe my final design.

I loved the idea of a coin rolling through different places and were it needed to get to for its purpose.

I wanted this mood board to be very metallic, but also show the different ways in which metal can be transformed and manipulated.

Experimentation With Stop Motion Animation

These are a few stop motion animations that I have made in my spare time.

This animation I created using a simple piece of A4 paper. To me it is the illusion of the paper moving on its own more that the actual animation side of it.

For this animation I simply just moved a rubber around and this is the effect that I got.

Rayograms

The rayogram session was a great experience for me as I had never worked with photography or anything to do with that before this session. The rayograms that I have made came out perfectly seeing as though I had never done it before.

This rayogram came out the best as I experimented on keeping objects on the paper for longer than others.

Stop Motion 1st

Bouncing Ball Animation

I wanted to create a simple animation so I could get my mind around how animations work and what needs to be done for the animation to work. From this simple animation that I created, I can now move on to more complicated animations and finally come up with a design for my storyboard.

The ball worked very well in the end. I am very pleased with the result.

Print To Pixel

Animation is the rapid display of a sequence of images of 2-D or 3-D artwork or model positions in order to create an illusion of movement. The effect is an optical illusion of motion due to the phenomenon of persistence of vision, and can be created and demonstrated in several ways. The most common method of presenting animation is as a motion picture or video program, although there are other methods.
